Actor Katherine Heigl is opening up about how she was born into a "white bubble" and how the revelation has affected the way she parents her adopted multiracial children. She was in the movie "Firefly Lane", revealed to the media that it did not matter the color of her skin for her. However, after meeting her Korean-American adopted sister, she realised the distinction between how others were treated by her. "I inquired of my sister, Meg to tell me if she'd received the same treatment while going out with us parents, and another way when she went out on her own without anyone else. She responded "Oh Yes! All the time!" Heigl admitted to her parents that this made her realize how naive she had been. She admitted to becoming frustrated, but decided to channel that energy to help her adopted daughters. Sheigl's husband Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr., 4, have been together for thirteen years. Their daughter was adopted by them Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide eight, who is Black from South Korea in 2012.
