Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four siblings was born on 8 August 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de Domme. Her parents, both a dental dentist and teacher, were aware of and supported their daughter's enthusiasm for drama and theater at the age of a stage novice. Their support was enough to thwart her initial ambition to be a an animal scientist. Her rise to fame as an actor in the young age was rapid and accompanied by her early successes. After her graduation in 1998, she was a participant in the French talent-scouting TV programme Jeunes Premiers that was supported by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to launching the journey to become an actor. Tautou studied at Institut Catholique de Paris, was a churchgoer when she was a child and was brought up Catholic. However she has since gotten away from this background. Modeling and acting are interspersed. She became the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is known as the Chanel Muse. A keen photographer, she has recently exhibited at The Arles International Festival titled Superficial. Her photography is focused on famous people, the media and media that scrutinised her after her emergence on the scene with Amelie. Also, she has several photographs that show her self. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and stardom with her major performance in Le Fabuleux of Amelie Poulain. Amelie is a box office hit internationally and recognized at many awards festivals around the globe. It's the most-grossing French film to be released in the United States. The success of this movie brought Tautou into a wide range of roles, ranging from British dramas as Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
