Jenna Fischer's most well-known character was as Pam Beesly from the popular TV show The Office. In recognition of her work, she was awarded an Emmy award for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role and received 2 SAG Awards.
In Fort Wayne Indiana, she lived her entire childhood in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna observed as her mom Anne took part in plays at church. She was awed by performance and theatre was cultivated at a very young girl.
An actress trained in theater, Fischer returned to her roots following the completion of The Office. The actress starred alongside Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway production Reasons to be Happy. She went on to star as the first woman to appear in Steve Martin's new play Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking run in the Old Globe Theatre.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer have launched Office Ladies, a podcast on Earwolf in October 2019. The podcast has been a huge success, reaching in the Top Ten worldwide every week with more than 200 million downloads within its initial two years. In the beginning of January, 2021, Office Ladies won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Year award.
She is the writer of two books. The Actor's Life and a Survival Guide, in which she recounts her experience to St. Louis to Hollywood to become a working actor. She is also the author of Office BFF's: Tales of The Office from Two of the Best Friends Who Were There (co-authored by Angela Kinsey), which is an account of their most memorable relationship and their time on The Office.
