Katherine Heigl has opened her mind about being born into the "white bubble" and how that realization has affected how she raises her multiracial adopted children. The actress from "Firefly Lane", revealed to the media that it did not matter how dark her skin color was for her. However, after meeting her adopted Korean American older sister, she noticed the differences in how people treated her and her. If I asked Meg about how she was treated when in public, regardless of whether we were with our parents, she said it was different. Meg replied "Oh sure! Every all the time!" Heigl revealed to Parents that it made her realize just how naive she had been. She admitted that she was frustrated however she was also aware of the need to use this anger to assist her children. Heigl along with her husband of 13 years -- singer Josh Kelley -- have four-year-old son Joshua Bishop Kelley, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. They were adopted by Nancy Leigh from South Korea aged 12 in 2009, followed by Adalaide aged 8 who is now young and Black in 2012.
