Katherine Heigl has opened her mind about being raised in a "white bubble" and how the revelation has affected the way she raises her adoptive multiracial children. In an interview with her, Katherine Heigl said recent interview that, with regards to skin color, it doesn't really matter. However, after talking to her sister who is adopted from South Korea she realized just the way society views them. Meg was asked whether the way she was treated differed when they were out together with their parents or when they went alone. Meg responded "Oh Yes, all the time!" Heigl admitted to her parents that this made her realize the extent of her ignorance. She confessed that she was angry however she was also aware of the need to use this anger to help her daughters. Heigl has a four-year old son and a 13-year-old spouse, Josh Kelley. They adopted their daughter Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide, 8, who is Black from South Korea in 2012.
