Katherine Heigl, the actress of "Grey's Anatomy," has herself about her experience of being born into an environment that was a "white bubble" and how the realisation has impacted how she parents her adopted multiracial children. In an interview, the "Firefly Lane" actress, along with "Grey's Anatomy" actress shared her looks didn't bother her. But after having a conversation with her adoptive sister from South Korea about how society had treated them, she was aware of the stark differences they were. "I inquired of Meg whether she felt different when she went out with us parents than those who went out on her own. She said, 'Oh, sure, I was treated the same way all the all the time! Heigl spoke to Parents about the moment she realised her ignorance. According to the actor, she grew furious. She wanted to channel this energy into helping the girls she adopted. Heigl has a son who is 4 years and Josh Kelley, her husband for 13 years. They have adopted Nancy Leigh from South Korea aged 12 in 2009, and then Adalaide whom was eight years old young and Black in 2012.
