Katherine Heigl opens up to everyone regarding her "white bubble childhood" and how it has influenced how she raises the children of her adoptive parents who are multiracial. In an interview with her, Katherine Heigl said in the past that with regards to skin color, it doesn't really matter. After speaking with her adopted sister from South Korea she realized just how differently society treats them. "I wanted to know Meg how she was different when she went out with us parents than the times she was out on her own. Meg replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl admitted to parents, "That made me realise how foolish I was." She admitted that she was mad, but she felt that she had to channel this anger to help her daughters. Heigl shares a son of four years with Josh Kelley, her husband for 13 years. They were adopted by Nancy Leigh from South Korea aged 12 in 2009, and then Adalaide aged 8 who is now old and is Black as of 2012.
