Katherine Heigl reveals that she was brought up in a white bubble, and how this realization affected how she raised adopted multiracial children. She was in the movie "Firefly Lane" told a reporter that it did not matter how dark her skin color was to her. After meeting her Korean-American adopted sister she realized the difference between how others took care of her. "I asked my sister, Meg to tell me if she'd been treated one way when she went out in public with our parents and in a different manner in the time she was alone without them. Meg replied: "Oh, sure, I've seen the whole thing and I've been there all the time! Heigl explained to Parents: "That was when I was aware of how foolish I had made me feel." She admitted to becoming frustrated, but decided to channel that energy to aid the adopted children she has. Heigl has a son who is four years and Josh Kelley, her husband for 13 years. The couple took in Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) and is black in 2009.
