Jennifer Garner, who was born and was raised within Charleston West Virginia, on April 17, 1973, is from Houston, Texas. The father of Jennifer Garner, William John Garner, worked as a chemical engineer at Union Carbide. Patricia Ann was a teacher at the local university. Following in the footsteps of her father she earned a chemical engineering degree. In order to be an actor, she moved to New York. While she was appearing in Broadway productions, she worked as a server at a nearby restaurant. She was in a minor part in the film "Felicity" (where she first came into contact with Scott Foley). Garner was first seen in Alias the action thriller. Her first big performance was in the highly praised romance 13 Going on 30.
